A warm welcome awaits all our guests. Our lodge managers look forward to hosting you and ensuring that you have a memorable stay.
We pride ourselves on our world-class food, made from local produce. David and Lynne will work closely with you to tailor every element of your stay.
Whilst Corrour Lodge is without doubt one of the most unique homes in the Scottish Highlands, it is the human touch which truly sets aside the Lodge experience. From the moment you arrive you will experience a genuine warmth of hospitality unmatched by our peers.
The dining experience
David’s love of locally sourced and fresh produce means that menus are bespoke, we are happy to cater to any cultural preferences and religious faiths.
Our signature dishes are based around venison, direct from the Estate larder. Our wild deer graze on the moors across the Corrour, and the meat is tender, lean and low in fat and cholesterol. In terms of ‘food-miles’, this is about as good as it gets!
Beef comes from Speyside butcher and farmer Macbeth’s, one of the few butchers to rear their own Scottish beef using traditional native breeds. Their herd is made up of Highland, Shorthorn and Aberdeen Angus beef cattle, that are largely reared outdoors and are completely grass fed.
David has worked with Macbeth’s for over 18 years, and enjoys a unique relationship with their master butchers.
Higginsons of Grange provide our pork and lamb. Seasonal specialities can include Morecambe Bay saltmarsh lamb, Cumberland sausage and Lakeland Herdwick lamb.
Poultry and duck are of the finest quality, corn-fed, direct from the farm.
Shellfish are purchased direct from boats landing at a number of Scotland’s west coast ports.
Our wine list is selected from a range of organic and biodynamic vineyards, and focusses on wines that are made with passion, integrity and uniqueness of origin, while remaining true to environmental and ethical issues. Craft beers compliment this approach.
Finally, we have the unique ‘Corrour Collection’ of single malt and blended Scotch whisky.
If the weather is good David will lay on a fantastic barbecue down by the loch with lots of delicious local meat & seafood sizzling on the barbie and washed down with delicious local beers.
